Why is After-Care Important?
The families we serve and the problems they have incurred in
dealing with homelessness cannot be solved in 60-90 days. This becomes more evident as we follow our
families after they graduate. While our
hope and expectation is the families will move forward, save money and thrive
in their new job and home, it does not always happen.
In formalizing the aftercare program-Live Well, we are
saying yes to supporting our families, and committing our resources to assist
them when they hit those inevitable potholes of life. Continued case management along with
encouragement, individual counseling, continued budgeting assistance and
financial help (monetary, gas and Walmart/target gift cards) when needed will
be available. If each family is doing
their part by working full time, and saving when possible, Family Promise can
be a resource to keep them in their home.
How can you help? A
financial gift of any amount will allow us to provide help for an unexpected
emergency. A Walmart or gas gift card of
$25 or more can supply food or gas to get through the month when an unexpected
expense hits the budget.

What a special evening! It was a joy to celebrate our partners and volunteers who unselfishly serve our families.
